Transylvanian Traditions Bakery is a local Vancouver business offering specialty sweets and pastries for birthdays and special occasions. This concept project focuses on a complete visual and structural redesign of their original website, which suffered from an outdated, chaotic layout and a total lack of brand consistency. The goal of this brief was to strip away the clutter and introduce a modern aesthetic with a organized layout.
To solve these challenges, I re-architected the site structure to create clear sections, intuitive page layouts, and strong visual hierarchy. I established a minimal color palette using muted gold to maintain an overall warm, inviting feel, paired with light blue accents carried over from the original branding. For the typography, I paired the elegant serif typeface Libre Baskerville for headings with the clean sans-serif Nunito for readability. Finally, I brought the desktop layout to life by coding the front-end interface using HTML and CSS. This project was built intentionally as a desktop-only concept to focus deeply on large-screen visual hierarchy and grid structures.
