This volunteer project involved a month-long collaboration with the manager at the Regional Animal Protection Society (RAPS) Cat Sanctuary to redesign their promotional brochure. The goal was to refresh the layout while maintaining alignment with the organization's existing brand identity. To gather authentic content, I visited the sanctuary alongside a photographer to take-site photos and integrated the color palette provided by the client to guarantee institutional consistency.
When the specified brand typefaces were unavailable, I demonstrated creative problem-solving by sourcing accessible alternatives that preserved the sanctuary’s friendly, welcoming aesthetic. I paired the clean, highly legible Calibri for body copy with Fredoka to mirror the playful, rounded energy of the original branding guidelines. The final design successfully refreshed the sanctuary's promotional materials and was well-received by the client.
